Missions Education Program

 

Rectify Missions Education Program carries the role of equipping and encouraging individuals in the body of Christ to fulfill their part in the Great Commission.  This program introduces, develops, and strengthens the global perspective of the believer and it prepares them for local, national, and foreign mission encounters that they may make disciples of all nations.

 

 

  "The Holy Spirit brought to my attention that some people in the church body are not drawn to missions, evangelism, or certain culturally diverse outreaches or mandates given in God's Word.  Maybe, they might not have much understanding about it, they might not have a strong desire to know it, or simply, it may be out of their comfort zone.  This is why we desire for this Missions Education Program to attach itself to the slightest inclination of believers and soon to be believers to show them that there is a non-overwhelming way to equip oneself with the tools to demonstrate Christ in a multi-cultural setting.  This Missions Education Program is held together by workshops that are practical, biblically-based, culturally accurate, and universally applicable to understanding diverse people groups.  By taking part in this program filled with profound teaching believers will better understand the true purpose of the church.  They will know and understand God's heart in fulfilling His mission to the world.  Lastly, they will be excited about worshipping our Lord, being empowered by the Holy Spirit, and reaching out to various people groups."

Missions Education Program Workshops

 

 In-house Workshops

 

These are workshops offered to Vigor Youth Ministries staff and youth on Saturdays and rotates monthly throughout the public academic school year.  During the summer they are offered designated week days and rotates twice a month.

 

Visiting Workshops

 

These are workshops offered on the road with Vigor Youth Ministries' City Riot Crusades upon request.  Visiting workshops can be requested by local churches and tailored for youth and young adults at conferences, retreats, or weekend workshops.  These workshops must be requested three months in advance.

 

 

Workshop Courses are as follows:

  • Biblical Foundations of Missions

  • Book of Acts

  • Cross-Cultural Communication

  • Evangelism & Discipleship Through Missions

  • Missions & Spiritual Warfare

  • How to Conduct a Mission Trip?

 

  • Local Missions vs. Foreign Missions

  • Conversational Spanish

  • Culture Shock

  • Support-Raising

  • Hands On With AWG Crew

 

 

Fees

 

In-house workshops will be $20 or possibly less per workshop as this includes the cost of textbooks and course materials.  Visiting workshops fees will be arranged according to the requested workshop and attendance.  Once these fees are determined, a registration date will be set that best suits the group size.  The fees will cover cost of textbook and materials. 

 

Certificate Program & Complimentary Gifts

 

Our Certificate program is offered in-house to youth and young adults.  It is also open to others who wish to be apart of the in-house Missions Education Program.  In this program, participants will need (33) credit hours to receive a Certificate of Missions. Each course is accredited (3) credit hours upon completion. Complimentary gifts will also be given at the end of each workshop.  Participants may also be eligible to receive stipends for upcoming missions trips.
