Pastor Keean Sutton

Founder & CEO

Pastor Keean Sutton is the Founder and CEO of Vigor Youth Ministry. Born in the inner city of Chicago, Illinois, Keean Sutton faced humble beginnings and a poverty-stricken atmosphere that beckoned for his very soul. Still, this man of God escaped his hellish beginnings to go about the will of the Lord, which included gathering a group of chosen teenagers to stand in the midst of a conflagration that would heat up the world in anticipation of the kingdom of God.

Three years later, VIGOR, meaning Victory In God Our Redeemer, is a youth ministry of teens and young adults that is looking to break the chains of tradition. "In the year of jubilee ye shall return every man his possession (Lev. 25:13)." Many youths have had dreams, parents, love, joy, and friends taken away. God is looking to reimburse those things. God wants to fill in the gaps so that the devil has no room to work. Many teens have been oppressed by the devil for so long that they don't know how to praise God. Many think that Christians are a group of boring people who get together to pray. They think that God's will for their lives would only ruin them, and they don't understand that their lives were created to fulfill God's will. Who is going to help shape their lives to be the true Christians that they were called to be?

VIGOR believes that there is a special anointing placed on this distinct generation that enables us to effectively carry out God's purpose for His people, just like the army in Joel 2:7-11. This ministry is looking to go beyond the four walls of the church to let others know that, "now is the acceptable time; behold now is the day of salvation" (2 Cor. 3:2).

God has preserved the youth of VIGOR from their mothers' womb. He has predestined, called, and justified them for a higher calling, which they have accepted. VIGOR's goal is to let other young people recognize the same. Only one word can describe such a radical group of youth-ANOINTED!
